[this is good]
Lovely, Iris. Anne Carson called it "Sumptuous Destitution" in Men in the Off Hours. I still think you would make a wonderful clandestine library vixen!
Merci, cherie! My most cherished reader indeed, and nowadays, my unique reader. If I can scrape together funds, a new website - with fresh images and words -- is in store. I have a domain name and host all lined up. What remains to be found is a job, after 1.6 years! If a new blog begins, you'll be the first to know.
Thank you for reminding me of Anne Carson, who can't be beat; after leaving Ann Arbor, her lair, I feel lost without the sensible, sensitive guidance of her contemplative poetry. And, yes, lost without those sumptuous libraries.
How are your students? And how is your teaching-realignment, blog-bowdlerizing in this high moment of springtime?
That was of course in reply to you! That last comment, and also a sunny letter, en route.
