You know, you know. Rashomon has intensity, weird humor and what they call "emotional intelligence." Each mood leaves you satisfied. No cold masterpiece, this: it's hot and moving like King Lear. Incidentally, Kurosawa's adaptation of that play -- Ran-- is a chilly piece of work.
